Liz Nelson is the Project Manager for the Council of Engineers for the Energy Transition (CEET) at the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), where she supports a high-level advisory council to the UN Secretary-General on advancing global energy transition.
Before joining SDSN, Liz was Program Manager at the Global Council for Science and the Environment (GCSE), leading international initiatives on climate change, plastic pollution, and STEM education. She managed programs for underrepresented groups in the sciences and worked closely with executive leadership on strategic planning. Liz has a background working with NGOs, nonprofits, academic institutions, and government bodies. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and a certificate in Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
