Giovanni Bruna is Senior Manager, Americas Lead tasked with managing National and Regional SDSN networks with a focus on Latin America and the Caribbean. He is a founding member of the Technical Secretariat of the Science Panel for the Amazon initiative and moderated the 4th Global Solutions Forum. Giovanni has contributed substantial research, writing, editing, and translation support to key SDSN publications.
Prior to joining the SDSN, he was an Account Manager on the Latin America & Caribbean team at Guinness World Records. He assisted clients from the private, public, and non-profit sectors utilize record-breaking as an experiential marketing solution to showcase achievements via community engagement, tourism, culture, and corporate social responsibility campaigns. Previously, he worked in corporate relations and sponsorship, and Spanish and Italian-language instruction and mentorship.
Giovanni holds a Master’s degree in Global Governance, with a concentration in Globalization and Human Security, and a B.A. in International Relations, both from Florida International University in Miami. He has post-graduate certificates in: Cultural Management and Communications from FLACSO Argentina; Peace Process & Accords Implementation in Colombia from CLACSO; and State, Politics, and Democracy in Latin America from The New School.
