Philo Wang is Head of Policy and Research for Asia and SIDS at SDSN, where she leads the GBA - ASEAN Initiative and the Climate and Energy program. The GBA-ASEAN Initiative advances economic cooperation across the Greater Bay Area and ASEAN, bringing together governments, universities, think tanks, and the private sector around shared sustainability priorities. Under her leadership, the Initiative launched in 2025 and expanded SDSN's connections in the region. As the lead of SDSN's Climate and Energy program, Philo oversees the SDSN/UNIDO Council of Engineers for Energy Transition and serves as a focal point for SDSN's work on energy transition. She also contributes to SDSN's research on regional economic modeling, green finance, and monetary policies.
Prior to joining SDSN, Philo worked for the UN Human Development Report Office at UNDP. She holds a Master's in Economics from Columbia University and speaks English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Outside of work, she loves swimming, scuba diving, and skiing.
