Tharunnia completed her MSc in Health Psychology from Coventry University, UK. Currently, she is at the tail end of her PhD scholarship in Social and Behavioural Sciences with Heriot-Watt University, focusing on parenthood well-being during the pregnancy to early parenthood transition period.
Tharunnia has had a mix of professional and volunteering experiences, including early childhood education; sustainability of rural communities at Project WHEE!; mental health and psychosocial initiatives for vulnerable groups at Mind, a UK-based mental health charity; interdisciplinary research amongst young adults, and behavioural insights initiatives at a digital primary health start-up.
As a research analyst with the Mission 4.7 team, Tharunnia is hopeful to bridge behavioural science insights with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) towards achieving a meaningful impact.
