Cynthia Tiendrebeogo is a Special Assistant and Program Associate for the New York office, working closely with the Vice President for the Americas and Strategic Partnerships, and supporting the Science Panels for the Amazon and Congo Basin. With the Director and Head of the New York Secretariat, Cynthia also supports the SDSN's UN engagement at key forums, including the High-Level Political Forum and UN General Assembly.
Before joining the SDSN, Cynthia worked with the National Democratic Institute (NDI), in Washington, D.C. (USA), where she worked on program coordination, monitoring and evaluation, and donor relations, with a regional focus on Central and West Africa. Prior to her work at NDI, she conducted an internship with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Togo. She holds an M.A. in Public Administration from the Middleburg Institute of International Studies, and a B.A. in International Relations and Sociology from Concordia College. Cynthia is bilingual in French and English.
