Announcing SDG Week Canada
Preparations for SDG Week Canada, a national collaboration taking place March 6-10, 2023, officially launched in mid-October. Co-organized by the Sustainability Hub at UBC, SDSN Canada, and Colleges and Institutes Canada, it is a chance to showcase and accelerate the SDGs on university and college campuses in a coordinated, collaborative way. It will feature workshops, panels, and other interactive programming to increase awareness of and engagement with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
All of Canada's universities and colleges are invited to participate in SDG Week Canada. Events are organized independently by participating campuses, and will draw on interdisciplinary perspectives to unpack challenges and solutions related to the SDGs.
If you are interested in participating, and are associated with a Canadian university, there are many opportunities to engage:
- Participating as a promotions and/or programming partner
- Creating an SDGs Competition
- Organizing an SDGs Scavenger Hunt
- Hosting a 17 Rooms Event to identify cooperative actions to advance the SDGs
- Organizing a Networking Event
- Leading a Storytelling Session to support the sharing of different perspectives, identities, and interests
