SDSN Mobilize - Connecting SDSN's Global Network
The SDSN Mobilize platform is a one-stop shop aimed at establishing an online community for all of SDSN's 1000+ member institutions around the world to assist them in gaining visibility for their projects, research, and events. In addition, this online platform also serves as a forum for members to seek advice from like-minded colleagues and facilitate collaboration while also providing information on new funding opportunities in the field of sustainable development.
To date, this members-only digital space hosts approximately 3,000 individuals from within our global membership, converting SDSN Mobilize into a one-of-a-kind pool of sustainable development experts. Moreover, SDSN Mobilize boasts engagement rates well above the industry average for the non-profit sector.
Within the community, members can engage and connect with others in a variety of ways, making use of the more than 30 national, regional, and thematic groups, in addition to several newly-launched linguistic groups, such as French and Arabic. SDSN Mobilize also serves as a direct line of communication between members, networks, and the SDSN Secretariat, including Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, who regularly shares opinion pieces with the community.
SDSN Mobilize was created to provide this one-of-a-kind experience aimed at helping our global pool of experts and scientists identify and connect with their peers while facilitating the exchange of knowledge across countries and regions, with the goal of converting thoughts into action.
Yet, these are not the only ways in which being a member of this online community can be leveraged. The SDSN Secretariat publishes a weekly list of funding opportunities in the sustainable development space, shines a spotlight on individual member institutions and their work, and periodically provides insights on practical skills such as communications or proposal-writing, tailored to officers in the non-profit sector. In addition, assistance is provided to members in applying for grants, participating in conferences, identifying fellowships, publishing research, and much more.
