SDSN Thailand at the High-Level Political Forum 2025

At the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) 2025, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City from July 21-24, 2025, the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network’s Thailand Network (SDSN Thailand) actively contributed to Thailand’s official presentation of its Voluntary National Review (VNR). The engagement reinforced the importance of science-policy collaboration and multi-stakeholder engagement in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Two Network Managers represented SDSN Thailand at HLPF 2025: Associate Professor Chol Bunnag, who served as one of the three official panelists presenting Thailand’s VNR, alongside the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC); and Miss Nuntinee Malanon, who supported engagement with global and regional partners and leads strategic collaboration and knowledge mobilization efforts related to SDG localization and stakeholder engagement.

As a core knowledge partner hosted by the Centre for SDG Research and Support (SDG Move) at Thammasat University, SDSN Thailand contributed to Thailand’s VNR by

  • Providing analytical input on SDG progress and challenges;
  • Offering recommendations to enhance multi-stakeholder collaboration and localization of the SDGs;
  • And supporting the integration of perspectives from civil society, universities, and subnational actors into the national SDG narrative.

In addition, SDSN Thailand joined its counterparts from other SDSN regional and national networks, reaffirming shared commitments to the 2030 Agenda. The Forum offered a space to exchange practices, align regional efforts, and strengthen partnerships across countries and sectors.
