SDSN Youth Director featured in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Entrepreneurs List
On April 1, Sam Loni, Director of SDSN Youth , was named a top young leader as part of the Forbes Magazine’s 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneurs List.
"I am both honored and very privileged to have been selected as one of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Entrepreneurs. The opportunity to be recognized along with the likes of Greta Thunberg, Le Bron James, Dua Lipa, Malala Yousefzai, Emilia Clark, and Emma Gonzalez, among many other incredibly talented leaders and changemakers, is truly humbling. However, more than any single individual, this list celebrates the work of the organization as a whole. This award is ultimately a recognition of our team's continuous and endless efforts - whether they are running our regional/national networks on the ground or managing our global programs - in leading the global transition towards sustainable development,” Loni commented upon receiving the recognition.
A former Iranian refugee, Loni currently leads SDSN Youth, which he founded in 2015. SDSN Youth trains young leaders and organizations to create cutting-edge solutions for sustainable development in their communities through research, advocacy and social entrepreneurship. Under his leadership, SDSN Youth’s network has grown substantially, with 750 organizations from 85 countries to date. SDSN Youth has also developed various programs for education ( Global Schools Program ), entrepreneurship ( Solutions Program ) and urban innovation ( Local Pathways Fellowship ), empowering the next generation of young leaders to create a more sustainable future.
