The Tipping Point: The State of the Amazon & the Bioeconomy Future (Event)
This event will draw attention to the state of the Amazon and its impact on local, regional, and global biodiversity and climate change, focusing specifically on solutions, including restoration, halting deforestation, and promoting a sustainable bioeconomy. It will also explore the risk of the Amazon crossing potential tipping points and the need for urgent action. Finally, speakers will advocate for collaboration between policymakers, Indigenous leaders, practitioners, and researchers to identify, implement, and monitor policies to restore the Amazon, while elevating Indigenous knowledge as a pathway forward.
