The SDSN mobilizes the world’s leading knowledge institutions and leverages their strengths to help promote practical solutions to sustainable development challenges and realize the SDGs and the Paris Agreement. Spanning six continents, the SDSN network comprises over 2,100 member institutions, primarily universities, coordinated by 59 National and Regional Networks.

The SDSN’s national and regional networks focus on distinct projects that translate the global goals into locally-led solutions shaped by national and regional priorities. Our Networks leverage the latest expertise in sustainable development into action by: (1) Promoting high-quality education and research collaboration for sustainable development; (2) Localizing and mobilizing support for the SDGs, including supporting governments in understanding and addressing the challenges of sustainable development; and (3) Vetting and launching solution initiatives.
